Conor O' Brien


Conor is a London-based composer and sound designer, who has worked on wide range of projects over the course of his career, closely collaborating with directors, creatives and music supervisors. He has created music and sound for numerous TV commercial and online campaigns (Nivea, FIFA World Cup, The Guardian, Friends of the Earth) and has received several awards for scoring to picture. Recent projects have included scoring the feature films, ‘Sunburn’ and ‘Dragonflies Only Live for 24 Hours’ (the latter being awarded ‘Best Original Score’ at the ICAAF Film Festival in Chile, 'Best Score' at the 2019 UVFF in London and Special Mention at the Five Continents International Film Festival). His music is featured regularly in TV productions worldwide and he has also created bespoke idents for Odeon Cinemas, MTV and IFLScience. To date, he has been privileged to work alongside some highly-respected names in the industry, including internationally-renowned media composers, chart-topping producers, Sony/ Universal-signed artists and legendary sound engineers. He has also branched out into other areas of sound and music; collaborating with game/ app developers from across Europe and assisting in sound installations for Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and multimedia artist Kevin Atherton. Elsewhere, Conor has worked as a composer and sound designer on several live productions: ‘Mountain High Valley Low’, a Wishbone Theatre production, performed at the Southbank Centre as part of the ‘Changing Minds’ festival; ‘SUB’, a visual art/ sound collaboration with contemporary artists Samantha Lee and Flavie Audi; and the 2017 FIFA Congress.
